Highlighting history and current event

The posters in this collection were created by students at Picacho Middle School as they learned about good citizenship with the help of the Citizenship Counts curriculum.  We have put the students’ words in the captions under each photograph.

Contribute to the community. Behave honorably. Go to school. Follow the laws.

Clean up the environment. Contribute to the community.

Serve your country.

A responsible citizen goes to school.

Keep America beautiful. Don't drink and drive. Respect diversity.

Don't alienate people. Words hurt.

Respect the Constitution, the flag, other people's property and nice things. Contribute to the community and water plants in parks. Enters the military, votes, contributes to their community, pays taxes, not litter, supports their family.

Isn’t Gerda lovely. We feel so blessed to have her as a part of our extended family. She is amazing in all that she has gone through in life and what an example of a beautiful woman. A true inspiration, a wonderful role model. I see her in Julie everyday.
